My name is Lobelia Anna Barker. I was born and raised in America, travelling around in almost 30 states during my childhood, in a kind of nomad lifestyle with my family. We came to Sweden when I was 13 and I’ve lived around the Gothenburg region since then. Right now in the outskirts of Gothenburg, with two dogs and two horses.

I have always been an artist and have gone to 4 years of art school. Meanwhile I’ve worked with cleaning, serving at restaurants, working with horses, rock clubs and a bit of this and that to scrape by. And then by pure chance, I hit upon the idea of airbrushing cars. And by pure chance I say because before that I had nothing to do with cars, motorcycles and trailer trucks.

So I plunged myself into this new and exciting world, did one year education on painting cars, went to work a few months here and there at car repair shops to really learn the basics, and then I started my own company ( Lobelia Barker Imagery ) with airbrush work on vehicles as the main focus ( though I still work with illustration and paintings as well ) throughout the summer of 2006 and things have been going uphill from there at a terrific pace.
